Lutheran - Reformed Dialogue files (1961-1972) contain minutes and agenda, correspondence, reports, dialogue papers and responses, resolutions, addresses, notes, news releases, newspaper articles, publications, and participant lists concerning dialogue meetings and arrangements; distribution and discussion of dialogue papers; and publication of the dialogue document, "Marburg Revisited." The collection also contains copies of the dialogue publication series, "A Re-examination of Lutheran and Reformed Traditions I-IV." Files are those of Paul C. Empie in his capacity as National Lutheran Council Executive Director. (1948-1966) and U.S.A. National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation (USANC) General Secretary (1967-1972, 1974-1975). Correspondents include James I. McCord, President of the Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey and North American Secretary of the North American Area of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches Holding the Presbyterian Order; and Theodore G. Tappert, professor at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) and Lutheran dialogue participant.
